Recalling a group under aegis of  Kaduna State All Progressive Congress (APC) critical stakeholders comprising of both serving and former LG Chairmen, zonal party executives appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider a Southern Kaduna person for ministerial slot in place of former Kaduna state Governor Mal Nasir El-rufai. In what appears to be a biased, sentimental, partisan sponsored proposal, the group went further to proposed the nomination of the Nigerian Population Council commissioner, Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa as El-Rufai's suitable replacement. They seek consideration for a representative from the Southern Kaduna region to occupy a ministerial position, replacing former Governor Nasir El-rufai. Led by APC chairman Ibrahim Koli from Jema’a local government, the group strongly supports Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa, the current Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission, for this role. They emphasize his competence, rich background in public affairs, and significant contributions to the party. The stakeholders highlight the importance of ensuring the Kaduna South Senatorial District's representation on the national stage. They point out the district's substantial influence within the APC and its role in securing the state's top position during the last general election.

Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the list of successful candidates for documentation into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) respectively. This was contained in a statement signed by the secretary of the board, Ja’afaru Ahmed.
